Locker Rooms
Men's and Women's Locker Room and shower facilities are available for use by members and guests. Lockers are available for daily use or may be rented on a yearly basis for a fee. Other than rented lockers, no lockers should be locked at all times. The YMCA is not responsible for loss of personal property. In order to better accommodate families using the locker room facilities, children age 5 and under may use the opposite gender locker room while accompanied by a parent. Children 6 years and older must use the same gender locker room.Wellness Center
NEW EQUIPMENT -- Air-conditioned strength training/aerobic conditioning facility featuring Olympic-style free weights, Smith Machine, Squat Rack and strength training equipment. Cardio conditioning equipment includes Free climbers, Stairmasters, treadmills and a Nordic-Track ski machine. This facility is available to ALL members ages 13 years old and over at no additional cost. Potential members may be granted limited use of the facility during certain times throughout the week. Age verification may be required prior to admittance. No youth, ages 18 and under, may use the facility until they participated in a staff directed orientation for the Facility. An orientation is recommended for all adults prior to their first visit to the facility.Potential Member Fee: Daily Guest Fee (youth 16-17 years or adult)
Racquetball - Handball - Wallyball Court
In an attempt to add value to your YMCA memberships, and to also be responsive to the concerns and interests many of you have expressed, the use of the court is now free for all current YMCA members. Our previous reservations policy does still apply. Only current YMCA members may reserve court time (in one-hour blocks) by contacting the membership reception desk. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Non-members are welcome to use the court, but cannot utilize the reservation program; daily guest fee applies. Eye protection MUST be worn. Equipment for both racquetball and wallyball may be rented from the reception desk.Rental Fees: Racquetball racquets, balls and eye protection - $2.50, Wallyball net and ball - $4.00
AWAY Program
The Armstrong County YMCA participates in the AWAY (Always Welcome At the YMCA) Program. We will honor memberships in good standing from any other YMCA, regardless of distance. In turn, any Armstrong County YMCA members in good standing may ask a member service representative for an AWAY sticker to utilize another participating YMCA. Each YMCA determines its own policy regarding this program.
